16th Street Mall (1.3 mi NE of hotel)

The 16th Street Mall is a tree-lined, pedestrian promenade that runs through the center of Downtown and is lined with outdoor cafes, renovated historic office buildings, sparkling glass-walled skyscrapers, shops, restaurants and retail stores. Numerous fountains and plazas offer a variety of daily special events and entertainers. Free shuttle buses cruise the mile-long Mall seven days a week. At the north end of the mall, 16th Street continues as a pedestrian path over three bridges connecting downtown to Commons Park and LoHi, a hip neighborhood filled with restaurants and brewpubs.

Located near the south end of the 16th Street Mall, Denver Pavilions is a shopping and dining complex with 12 movie theaters and more than two dozen shops and restaurants. The open-air Denver Pavilions features three-story buildings on a two-block development that is linked by "The Great Wall," an exterior structure featuring the word "DENVER," which has become the worldwide symbol of downtown Denver.
